Early Morning Prayer at Mid-Year Convocation 2010

Please link with us in "Early Morning Prayer" each and every morning promptly beginning at 6:30 and ending 7:30 a.m. (March 10-12, 2010). Early morning prayer will be held in the main ballroom where all the business of our Zion and worship services take place. There will be fervent prayer, prayer labs, worship and praise to usher in the presence of our Gracious and Loving God!

The Fifth District Prayer Ministry humbly requests your presence to seek our God with all your heart, soul and mind. Also, the Fifth District Prayer Ministry eagerly requests you to FAST and PRAY on every Wednesday prior to Mid-Year from sun up to sun down starting February 23, 2010! Fasting tenderizes your spirit, sensitizes your hearing and accelerates the pace of divine flow in and through your life. (from Bob Sorge, Secrets of the Secret Place).

Saints, the body of Christ does not work properly without the members praying for each other and particularly for their Bishop T. Larry Kirkland and Episcopal Supervisor Mary Kirkland (1 Timothy 2:1-3). Let us continue to lift up our Episcopal Leadership Team in fervent prayer as they lead and guide us with power from on high! PRAYER is the immunity system of the body of Christ. Through prayer, we fight off the invasive forces that seek to disease and affect the body of Christ. In the words of Bob Sorge, prayerlessness is akin to leprosy. Therefore, please seek God with us as we pray without ceasing for signs, miracles and wonders to manifest at this year's Mid-Year Convocation 2010. Thank you in advance for praying without ceasing!

Overflow Hotel Information

As some of you may know, our room block at the host hotel, Renaissance Glendale Resort and Spa is sold out. We have, however, secured an OVERFLOW HOTEL to accommodate those persons who are still needing hotel reservations.

The room rate is $159.00 single/double plus tax. This rate includes FREE BREAKFAST AND FREE PARKING. There is a limited availability and reservations will be made on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS.

DEADLINE FOR OVERFLOW HOTEL RESERVATIONS IS: Tuesday, February 16, 2010. Any requests for reservations made after this date will be subject to availability.

Transportation to and from the OVERFLOW HOTEL to and from the airport is SUPERSHUTTLE, 1-800-BLUEVAN (1-800-258-3826) or www.supershuttle.com. Conference attendees are responsible for making their own transportation reservations for airport shuttle service.

Tanner will provide FREE shuttle transportation from the OVERFLOW HOTEL to the HOST HOTEL on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (March 10-12, 2010).

MidYear Spouses Event!

Greetings Clergy Family members:

We are excited to be in preparation for our annual evening of fun and fellowship at the Midyear meeting. This year our theme is "A Night At The Apollo". We are working hard to provide good entertainment and a fun fellowship so that our clergy family members can enjoy one another in a relaxed environment.

All clergy, clergy spouses and adult Pk's are asked to come and join us for this evening of fun. As with last year, we will not be selling tickets at the event, our contract require payment in advance for our dinner count. So make sure to reserve your seat by February 28, 2010.
